Sennheiser Infrared equipment for Tour-guides. At
courts, simultaneous translation is becoming more and more usual as an
increasing number of participants do not speak the language of the courts,
and proceedings must therefore be translated for them. When a court decides
to have the courtroom equipped with an interpreting system, the most
economical solution is to expand an existing PA system. Signal Source: A mixing console can be used as the signal source. The console is fed the signals from the existing PA system. For the interpreter, a pair of HD 25 closed monitoring headphones is connected to the mixing desk. These headphones shut out ambient noise to a great extent and make it easier for the interpreter to understand what is being said.
Information on the exhibits in this museum are transmitted via
infra-red radiators which are mounted directly above the showcases. The visitors wear stethoset headphone receivers. Simply by turning
towards an exhibit, the receiving diodes of their headphones pick up the information associated with that exhibit. Type of Application: A parish wants to equip its church with an IR transmission
system Type of Application: A small theatre wants to help people with
impaired hearing. |

An IR transmission system is to be installed so that they can hear the performances without any
difficulty. A wideband stereo signal is to be transmitted to
every seat of the theatre, with better sound quality than
that achieved with the usual hearing aid. Receivers are handed out at the box office and there is also a poster
which informs the theatre goers of the possibility of using the IR transmission system. Call Geoff Ingle for

of either ten or twenty lightweight
headsets, each with individual volume control. From there on, you can build
your own system, adding as many headsets as you require.

for a mini interpretation/
Translation system. The
two components, transmitter (SKM 1030) and receiver (HDE 1030) may also be
used as a mini interpretation system. Interpreters can listen to a speaker
via the loudspeaker system or from a direct feed and then whisper a
translation into the hand-held transmitter microphone. Participants from
abroad receive the translation via the stethoset receivers. Call Geoff Ingle for
